Champion of Handheld Computing

This little handheld computer from Sony does it all. One seen in the image is the latest rev from Vaio group, the UX390, 32G flash based memory, 4.5" touchscreen, state of the art processor, slide up screen exposing a backlit keyboard; Wi-fi, Bluetooth caps, and pretty much everything a high-end laptop can also offer. The benchmark of handheld computing in this day and age with no challengers in sight. Will set you back about two grands which is essentially a steal :)

So long Clippy

Perhaps one of Microsoft's most successful decisions lately; they've killed Clippy; u know; the annoying icon of MS Office help that kept popping on your screen making you feel like a retard of some sort is gone now.

Eversince I beat the snake game by filling my Nokia screen completely I quit playing games on cell phones. But this concept from a Russian design house might get me back into games on my cell.

Rollable Display Coming to Handhelds

Well I've suggested this concept for the next PSP but looks like Polymer Vision is coming up with this e-reader soon; I found out this company Polymer Vision is pretty big on this rollable displays and they should be growing rapidly; too bad they are privately owned still and we can't buy their stock. No price or availability info yet but this is a 2007 product. Color screens should follow in couple years. This is the next screen trend in portable electronics. Watch out

Update: Here's a closeup of the screen itself;

Nice Laptop Concept

Canova's dual screen laptop concept gets rid of the keypad and offers a complete touch screen interface. Lower screen can work as a tablet so it can either recognize your handwriting or displays a digital keyboard. I like it; don't know the price or availability yet but I'd actually prosume this item once it's out.
